DANCE CONCEPTS STUDIO POLICIES

Welcome to Dance Concepts!

Our goal is to provide a positive, welcoming, and supportive environment where every dancer can learn, grow, and feel that they belong.

Please review the following policies carefully before completing registration.

REGISTRATION & ANNUAL FEE

A non-refundable annual registration fee is due at the time of registration.

One dancer: $50 Two dancers: $75 Family maximum: $80

The registration fee is charged once per dance season. Registration is not considered complete until all required information and applicable fees have been submitted.

TUITION & PAYMENTS

Tuition is due by the first class of each month.

Dance Concepts accepts payment by cash, check, Venmo, or online payment through our Parent Portal.

Accounts that remain unpaid 11 days after the tuition due date will be assessed a $25 late fee.

A $35 returned check fee will be charged for any check returned by the bank.

A 5% multi-class discount is applied to each additional eligible class taken by the same dancer.

Tuition is based on enrollment for the full dance season and is divided into monthly payments for convenience. Monthly tuition remains the same regardless of the number of classes that fall within a particular month.

Tuition will not be prorated or refunded for individual classes missed by a dancer.

REFERRAL DISCOUNT

We love when our Dance Concepts families help us grow! Families who refer a new family to Dance Concepts will receive a $10 tuition credit toward the following month’s tuition once the referred family completes registration.

There is no limit to the number of referral credits a family may earn. A $10 credit will be given for each new family referred who successfully registers.

WITHDRAWALS

If a dancer needs to discontinue a class, Dance Concepts must be notified in writing at least 30 days prior to withdrawal.

Families remain responsible for tuition during the 30-day notice period. Simply not attending class does not constitute withdrawal.

ATTENDANCE & MISSED CLASSES

Consistent attendance is encouraged so dancers can progress, learn choreography, and get the most out of their classes.

Tuition will not be refunded or prorated for classes missed due to illness, vacations, personal conflicts, or other individual absences.

CLASS OBSERVATION

To provide dancers with the best possible learning environment, regular class observation by parents, guardians, and family members is not permitted. Limiting observation helps dancers remain focused and allows instructors to conduct classes smoothly and without unnecessary distractions.

Throughout the season, instructors may occasionally invite families into the studio for a special “sneak peek” at what dancers have been working on.

DRESS CODE & SHOES

Dancers should arrive to class dressed appropriately and wearing the proper footwear for their class. Appropriate dancewear and shoes help dancers move safely and allow instructors to properly teach technique and alignment.

Please refer to the Dance Concepts website for class-specific requirements, including what to wear and which dance shoes are required for each class.

All dance shoes and personal belongings should be clearly labeled with the dancer’s name.

STUDIO CLOSURES, HOLIDAYS & SCHOOL VACATIONS

Dance Concepts follows the Braintree Public Schools calendar for scheduled holidays and school vacation periods.

When Braintree Public Schools are closed for a scheduled holiday or school vacation, Dance Concepts will also be closed.

Classes will not be made up, refunded, or prorated for scheduled holidays or school vacation closures.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

Dance Concepts follows Braintree Public Schools for inclement weather closures.

If Braintree Public Schools close due to snow, ice, or other weather-related conditions, Dance Concepts will also be closed. Families will be notified of weather-related studio closures as soon as possible.

Classes canceled due to inclement weather will not be made up, refunded, or prorated.

Because tuition is based on the full dance season and divided into monthly payments, monthly tuition remains the same regardless of holidays, school vacations, or weather-related closures.

COSTUMES & RECITAL

Our annual recital is an exciting part of the Dance Concepts season. Participation may involve additional expenses, including costumes, recital tickets, and other performance-related fees. These expenses are separate from regular tuition.

Costume payments and other recital-related fees are non-refundable once costumes or other items have been ordered.

Recital information, important dates, deadlines, rehearsals, and other requirements will be communicated to families throughout the season.

CLASS PLACEMENT

Dance Concepts reserves the right to recommend or adjust a dancer’s class placement when necessary.

Placement decisions are made with the dancer’s age, experience, ability level, and overall success in mind. Our goal is to place every dancer in an environment where they can learn, grow, and feel successful.

BEHAVIOR & STUDIO EXPECTATIONS

Dance Concepts is committed to maintaining a positive, welcoming, and supportive environment where every dancer belongs.

Dancers and families are expected to treat instructors, staff, fellow dancers, and other studio families with kindness and respect.

Disruptive, disrespectful, or unsafe behavior may result in a dancer being removed from class when necessary.

PHOTO & VIDEO PERMISSION

Photos and videos may be taken during classes, rehearsals, performances, and studio events and may be used on Dance Concepts’ social media pages, website, advertisements, or other promotional materials.

Parents or guardians who do not wish to have their dancer photographed or recorded for promotional purposes should notify Dance Concepts in writing.

COMMUNICATION

Email is the primary method of communication for Dance Concepts.

Important studio information, including class updates, schedule changes, recital information, payment reminders, studio closures, and other announcements, will be communicated by email.

Families are responsible for checking their email regularly and ensuring that Dance Concepts always has a current and accurate email address on file.

Please notify Dance Concepts promptly of any changes to your contact information so you do not miss important studio communications.
